I would also like to use this web site for a health information forum to help us inform people and for us to continue to learn more about our health and also our environment so we may make this world a cleaner, safer place to live.
For instance, do you know that in this country alone, there are over 80,000 chemicals used in growing food, processing food, in cleaning products, in clothing, in building products, in pest control and in other areas? Yes, I said over 80,000.
Did you know that 50% of all pesticides used in the farming industry are used on cotton? When you get that new cotton sweater or shirt, or under clothing, think of how toxic it may be, and probably is. People are finding out that they have more and more allergies. Is there any wonder why? One thing that we very strongly suggest is to wear organic clothing of natural materials only. Also, natural products allow your body to breathe.
A new term that has recently appeared is MCS, which is Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. People are being subjected to toxic chemicals in the air they breathe, the clothes they wear, the food they eat, the water they drink, the cleaning products they use or that are used around them.
We are asking people to please become aware of what is being used in these products and to help the growing number of people like us that are working to reduce and eventually eliminate chemical toxins and find safe, natural and healthy alternatives.
Another growing concern we will write about is Celiac Disease, which we were not aware of until about a year ago. It is a sensitivity or allergy to gluten.
There is a lot of info out there about the subjects that we have mentioned and the healthy alternatives are growing as the number of people grow that are choosing to take control and responsibility of their own healing. Remember, we all have a choice of how we live our lives.

Hello and welcome all to our health forum. It's been a while since we have written any new additions to this forum. We have been very busy re-building the web site and creating and building a few new pieces. Also, the search for land for our "Center" has been taking up a lot of our time. In regards to our land, we have pin pointed the area that we want to be in. It is the incredibly beautiful --Downeast area of Maine. It will make a great Home for "The Center".
After reading this forum, we invite you to browse and enjoy the rest of the web site. Feel free to sign the "Guestbook ", submit a "Prayer Request" or a "Healing Creation" of your own.

This bit of information is for those of us who are around insects that want to become more than just friends. The type that bite. There are now a few "Safe" insect repellents that are available to us. Two of the products we have seen are "Buzz-Off" and "Buzz-Away". We have not tried them yet, so we cannot recommend them. One of the great things about them is that they are DEET-FREE.
DEET,or N, N-diethyl-m-tolumide, is registered with the EPA as an insesct repellent. It is a member of the toluene chemical family. Toluene is an organic slovent used in plastic cements and paint removers. When you use DEET-based insect repellents, the DEET is absorbed through your skin and passes into the bloodstream. "We Do NOT want this toxic chemical in our bodies". Remember, our skin is the largest organ in our body, so we must be very aware of what we put on it. So, we highly recommend using "Safe, Natural" products. You are bombarded with enough toxins through the day that you have no control over. So whenever possible, we need to do as much Safe and Organic products as we can. We need to take care of this Miraculous Temple that God has created for us.
